Day 22: Player's Club
January 22, 2011
It seemed like a good night to stay in. My old roommate/teammate and brother for life Noah was coming down from Chatsworth, so we decided to have ourselves a night at Player’s Club.
I don’t know if I’ve mentioned in in previous posts, but when I reference to Player’s Club, I’m talking about my house, which is cleverly named after our street name...
Day 21: Rejuvenated
January 21, 2011
The entire week, I was plagued with a sickness that wouldn’t go away. I didn’t rest the entire week due to late night practices and early mornings for work. So today, I left work early, took a few shots of dayquil, and KO’ed for about 5 hours. I woke up at 10 pm to a text from Allibon saying “spontaneous SD trip?!?”
Maybe it was the nap,...
Day 20: The Great Park
January 20, 2011
For those that don’t know, I’ve been working over at the Orange County Great Park for just about 9 months, exactly 9 months tomorrow. My job over here with the construction staff has its ups and downs, and I won’t get too into detail about my job. But one of my favorite parts of the job is being able to go out to the different job sites and observe the work...
Day 19: Stay Fresh
January 19th, 2011
I never knew that my air fresheners smiled at me every morning. Awesome.
Day 18: Smile
January 18, 2011 Today, I took my first Boogiezone Class since 2009, when my boy Arvin taught a piece to John Legend and Estelle. Being on Breed has given me the opportunity to train both in practice and in class…so why not take advantage of it? Beto taught today. This guy is awesome. I remember back in the day, he used to come around with some other Breed people and party with DC. Those...
Day 17: The Aftermath
January 17, 2011
Not much to say about this day, considering it was almost like a continuation of the night before. I got home at 3, slept at 3:30, and woke up at 6:30 to go to work. I was so tired at work that I took a nap during my lunch break. The only thing that got me through the day was the gorgeous weather outside.
But as soon as I got home, I started to get chills and a sore throat. ...
Day 16: Showdown
January 16, 2011 The night of the 16th, CADC competed at the 2nd Annual Showdown held at Hollywood and Highland. I didn’t get to catch them last year, as I was living in San Diego this time last year. This year, even though I had work on MLK the next day, I wasn’t going to miss it for the world. I love supporting DC, and rollin’ deep with ChAOS. DC alums are ridiculous,...
Day 15: The Hat
January 15, 2011
The day started a little late, but it consisted of going to get Dim Sum with the roomies somewhere in Orange. Nothing beats good food with good people.
We headed back home in the afternoon to finish up house cleaning. A clean house…is a happy house. And a happy house…is a happy Raffy.
If only the fresh smell of my room could emit through the computer...
Day 14: The Music Box
January 14, 2011
My second performance with Floorteenth was for the World of Dance Award Show in Hollywood, CA at the Music Box. The last time I was at the Music Box was for All-UC 2008. Good freaking times.
Below are some pictures that I took. Enjoy!
And heck, why not add in another video? Floorteenth at WOD Awards:
The end.
