Day 29: Late Night
January 29, 2011
The day before VIBE. Taking this photo at night after Breed rehearsal made me realize how much I need (want) a new lens. Using this kit lens is not the business. Love the zoom but hate that low-light environments are pretty much impossible to capture unless everything is still.
Oh well.

Time to start savin’ some moolah.

Day 28: Level G
January 28, 2011
Today, DC held their annual VIBE preview night at Mesa Level G. This also meant that ChAOS held their annual “DC Goodie Bag Making” night. This year, we met up at Julie’s. It’s always a good time meeting up with ChAOS. Although there’s that special bond that will always tie us together, the truth is, many of us lose touch and don’t see each other as much as we all used to. Hence, it’s always a pretty crazy time when we all get together.
VIBE preview night is no exception. Buckness commence.

I’m tellin’ you, it’s a never ending story…

Day 27: Show and Tell
January 27, 2011
Today, in preparation for VIBE, Breed and Entity did a mini preview night…a “show and tell” for lack of better words, minus the telling. Took some pictures. All I gotta say is Entity is absolutely insane. What an amazing and talented team, under incredible direction and leadership. Marissa and Will, I love you both.

Day 26: Support
January 26, 2011
I visited DC practice today with some alumni. Since my first year on DC, ChAOS has always been supportive, whether it was bringing snacks at 2 am, giving critiques or just coming to hang out. Everytime they came, it made us a little more excited to see what snacks or goodies they would bring…but we would also get a lot more full out when we did run throughs for them. I personally felt like we always had something to prove. But…at the end of the day, no matter how bad it was, they were still there to support, and that’s really all that mattered.
Anyway, now being on the other side, it’s nice to see the DC experience in full effect, full circle. I try my best to show the support when possible without being too overbearing. On the real though, these people are the bizz, both current team and alumni. I’m real lucky and proud to be a part of something like this.

And just to clarify again…this thing with DC is an on-going story.
To be continued.

Day 25: Forgetful
January 25, 2011

Just got back from Breed Rehearsal in Torrance. Technically, its already the 26th, but it’s 3:13 am, I’m tired, and I don’t give a f. But…I am excited for VIBE XVI. Can’t believe its going to be my 6th Vibe. I’ll get more into VIBE later, but for now…
Sweet dreams.

Day 24: Keeping in Touch
January 24, 2011

Today, I was able to catch up with my friend Brooke thanks to the advances in technology.
I know video conferencing has been around for some time, but it’s really amazing how long distance friendships or relationships have the ability to be salvaged and maintained through technological mediums such as this. Technology…you are awesome.

Day 22: Player’s Club
January 22, 2011
It seemed like a good night to stay in. My old roommate/teammate and brother for life Noah was coming down from Chatsworth, so we decided to have ourselves a night at Player’s Club.
I don’t know if I’ve mentioned in in previous posts, but when I reference to Player’s Club, I’m talking about my house, which is cleverly named after our street name Player Lane.
Anyway, it being a random Saturday night, some old and new friends came over and we had ourselves a party. Not much to say beyond that. Picture time!

Here’s to the nights.

Day 21: Rejuvenated
January 21, 2011
The entire week, I was plagued with a sickness that wouldn’t go away. I didn’t rest the entire week due to late night practices and early mornings for work. So today, I left work early, took a few shots of dayquil, and KO’ed for about 5 hours. I woke up at 10 pm to a text from Allibon saying “spontaneous SD trip?!?”
Maybe it was the nap, maybe it was the text, maybe it was the fact that I hadn’t been to SD this year yet…or maybe it was all three of those, but at that moment I was re-born. I finally felt okay to go out and do something. What started out as a bedridden evening ended as a DTSD night with carne asada fries to top it all off at 3am.

I’m lovin’ it.
